The 27-year-old started his career as a youth player with Blackpool, progressing through the academy ranks to make his senior debut in March 2015 against Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.
His first professional goal arrived in December 2016 when he netted in a 2-0 win against Stevenage, and he played a key role at the end of the 2016-17 season when Blackpool secured promotion back to League One with a 2-1 victory over Exeter City in the Play-Off Final at Wembley.
But his impressive displays were catching the eye of bigger clubs, and it wasn’t long before the was on the move.
Shortly after the start of the 2017/18 season, Osayi-Samuel swapped Blackpool for Queens Park Rangers as he signed a three-year deal in West London.
His first goal in R’s colours ironically came against Blues in April 2018 as he scored in a 3-1 victory at Loftus Road.
He would go on to make over 100 appearances for the club and soon caught the attention of European teams, with Fenerbahce swooping to land the winger on a pre-contract agreement in January 2021.
In a turn of events, he joined the Turkish side later that month and made his debut in a 1-0 victory over Caykur Rizespor. It wasn’t long before he bagged his first goal for his new club, as Osayi-Samuel bagged in a 3-0 win over Konyaspor.
His first experience of European football came the following season as Fenerbahce featured in the UEFA Europa League, while a second-place finish in the Super Lig saw the club qualify for the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League.
Osayi-Samuel was exposed to all three European club competitions during his time at the Turkish giants, and he featured against the likes of Manchester United, Lyon and Rangers under the tutelage of Jose Mourinho last season.
