Birmingham City is delighted to confirm that a number of Blues legends will be attending 150 Years of Blue: Awards 2025/26 at the ICC on Sunday 3 May.
As the Club’s 150th anniversary celebrations draw to a close, the evening will bring together supporters, players and Blues icons from across generations to reflect on the moments, memories and people that have shaped Birmingham City. Alongside the presentation of the end of season awards, supporters can look forward to appearances from Blues legends, special moments celebrating 150 years of Birmingham City and one final opportunity to come together in this landmark anniversary season.
From unforgettable goals and promotion pushes to cult heroes and fan favourites, the event will celebrate not only the Club’s proud history, but the future still to come.
Among the former Blues players confirmed to attend are Martin O’Connor, Dele Adebola, Bob Hatton, Cameron Jerome and Paul Tait
Martin O’Connor
A cult hero, Martin O’Connor made more than 200 appearances across two spells for Blues and captained the Club during one of the most memorable periods in recent history. Still affectionately known as “Skip” owing to his incredible leadership skills and fierce will to win.
Paul Tait
Tait made his debut for Blues at just 16 years old and went on to make 170 appearances in Royal Blue, famously scoring the winning goal in the 1995 Football League Trophy Final at Wembley. About that t-shirt…
Cameron Jerome
A popular figure in Royal Blue, Cameron Jerome led the line on more than 180 occasions for Blues and played his part in a promotion winning campaign to the Premier League. His electric pace and power posed a constant threat to opposition defences. Then there was the goal at Anfield…
Bob Hatton
One of the most prolific goalscorers to represent Blues, Bob Hatton scored more than 100 goals for the Club and remains one of the great figures in Birmingham City history. He was part of the promotion winning side of 1971-72, partnering Trevor Francis and Bob Latchford to form a prolific frontline.
Dele Adebola
A man mountain and powerful presence at the top of the pitch, Dele Adebola played a key role in Blues’ return to the Premier League, with his goals and physicality making him a fan favourite in the early 2000s.
And there will be even more familiar faces in attendance, with further legends set to be revealed in the lead up to the event.
