Chris Davies: I felt we deserved to win

Chris Davies felt his side deserved all three points after Birmingham City had to settle for a share of the points at home to Middlesbrough.
A late goal from Adilson Malanda rescued a point for Kim Hellberg's side after Blues looked on course for a third league win of the campaign.
Malanda scored from close range with two minutes left after James Beadle tried to claim Sebastian Berhalter's inswinging free kick.
It was harsh on Chris Davies' side, who were close to a deserved win thanks to Liam Millar's equaliser and an own goal from Riley McGree.
That cancelled out Max Arfsten's strike on the stroke of half-time which had given Boro the lead, and despite the late drama, Davies was pleased with another strong showing from his players.
"Overall, we played well. It's sickening to lose the points in that circumstance right at the end of the game," he said.
"We deserved to win it, so it was hard to take but I was pleased with a lot of the performance. Middlesbrough have been the best attacking team in the league in terms of chances created, but we restricted them to much less than normal.
"Our football at times was better than we've played at home this season, in any game, in terms of passages of play, passing, moving, there was a lot I liked about that.
"I'm pleased with how we played against a really tough opponent. Gutted we haven't won that, and there's been a few games like that, but we've shown a consistency to our game that's going to bode well for us."
The draw with Middlesbrough was Blues' final game before the first international break of the season, with Chris Davies' side returning to action with a trip to West Bromwich Albion on October 10.
But after just one defeat in the first eight games - including facing some stiff opposition - Davies was pleased with what he has seen from his squad.
"The first eight games, on paper, were a real challenge laid before us," he said. "What we have shown is a real consistency, we've been in every single game and I'm excited about the months ahead.
This league is like no other, there will be ups and downs, but if we keep that level of commitment and consistency and moments of quality, we have got a really exciting season ahead of us.
