Chris Davies: I felt a point was the least we deserved
Blues boss reflects on the 1-1 draw against Hull City at the MKM Stadium

Chris Davies felt a point was the least his Birmingham City side deserved as they fought back to earn a share of the points against Hull City.
After falling behind to Joe Gelhardt’s first-half strike, Blues fought back in the second period and levelled thanks to a stunning strike from Tomoki Iwata.
The visitors dominated possession and territory for large portions of the game on Humberside, whilst also restricting play-off chasing Hull with a spirited defensive display.
Blues arrived on the back of last weekend’s 2-0 home win over Wrexham, with Chris Davies’ team looking to end the campaign on a positive note with three games still to play.
And he was pleased with the effort and application of his players once again and felt that a draw was the least they deserved.
“I thought, if anyone should have won the game, it was us,” he said.
“I really loved how we played again. The attitude of the team, the commitment, the fight, we carried on from where we have been in the last few weeks. And for an away performance, there was a lot I liked about it.
“We didn't invite pressure, we played forward, we got crosses in, and to be able to punch back from going to goal down is a good quality. We haven't done it enough this season, because you can fall behind away from home.
“I said to the players at half-time, this isn't all bad, we can't get our heads down, there's much more good than bad going on out there. We just need to continue, keep our game simple and keep the intent, and we can get something, and I'm really pleased they did it.
“Hull are riding high and what they have got is goals in the team. You saw little moments today, but I thought we kept them pretty quiet actually. And to get a point on the road and, in any league, I think is a decent result.
“I think for us today, in the context of our away form, it was important to get something and I didn't think it was a smash and grab, I thought it was a lot in there that suggested we were the better team, how we imposed ourselves, how much possession we had.
“We had more shorts, more touches in the box, so I'm really pleased.”
